Born in 1991, Nguyen Van Trinh—affectionately known in Vietnam's art community as "Trinh Lua" (Trinh of Silk)—is one of the leading voices in contemporary Vietnamese silk painting. A graduate of the Vietnam University of Fine Arts, he continuously explores the expressive potential of silk and Giang paper through watercolor, gouache, and mixed-media techniques. His visual language moves fluidly between realism, impressionism, and surrealism, reflecting the subtle emotional currents of contemporary life.
