Giang bamboo is boiled, soaked, beaten into fibres and dried to produce the pulp traditionally used for handmade paper.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe pulp is blended with fine clay and shaped by hand. The surface is then prepared, lacquer-ground, painted in multiple layers and repeatedly sanded, creating depth, texture and tonal variation.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eThe Beauty of Imperfection\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe design embraces the idea that \u003cem\u003ebeauty can be found in imperfection\u003c\/em\u003e.
